Short-time Working Allowance Duration Extended:
For those who apply for the new Coronavirus (Covid-19), the short-time working allowance (SWA) period has been extended for another month. The extended deadline for SWA has been extended to 30/08/2020. SWA period extensions can be requested from relevant Turkish Employment Agency units.
Employer Termination Ban Has Been Extended:
For the new Corona Virus (Covid-19), the employer termination ban has been extended for another month. The termination ban has been extended to 17/09/2020.
Workplace withholding tax deducted:
Withholding taxes arising from workplace lease contracts were reduced from 20% to 10% until 31/12/2020.
Applying to the mediator become mandatory before issuing a Consumer Case:
Appliying to the mediator become a cause of action prior to issue a lawsuit before consumer courts for consumer court disputes. Disputes under the juristiction of Consumer arbitration committee excluded from that.
Monetary treshold of the consumer arbitration committee for 2020; was determined as 6.920 TL for the District Arbitration Committee and 10.390 TL for the Provincial Arbitration Committee.
